چکیده

Glucose, as the major energy source in cellular metabolism, plays an important role in the natural growth of cells. Herein, a simple, rapid and low-cost method for the glucose determination by utilizing glucose oxidase and CdTe/thioglycolic acid (TGA) quantum dots (QDs) on a thin layer chromatography (TLC) plate has been described. The detection was based on the combination of the glucose enzymatic reaction and the quenching effect of H2O2 on the CdTe/TGA quantum dots photoluminescence. This QDs-based assay exhibits several advantages. Enzyme immobilization and QDs modification process are not required and the high stability of the QDs towards photobleaching is beneficial to this sensing system. The proposed method is linear in concentration range of 1.00 × 10-3.00 × 10 M of glucose and has a detection limit of 1.25 × 10 M. The results of real sample analysis show that the glucose oxidase CdTe/TGA QDs system would be a promising glucose-biosensing system.

Thiolate-Capped CdSe/ZnS Core-Shell Quantum Dots for the Sensitive Detection of Glucose

A semiconducting water-soluble core-shell quantum dots (QDs) system capped with thiolated ligand was used in this study for the sensitive detection of glucose in aqueous samples. The QDs selected are of CdSe-coated ZnS and were prepared in house based on a hot injection technique. The formation of ZnS shell at the outer surface of CdSe core was made via a specific process namely, SILAR (success...

Disposable electrochemiluminescent biosensor using bidentate-chelated CdTe quantum dots as emitters for sensitive detection of glucose.

A novel disposable solid-state electrochemiluminescent (ECL) biosensor was fabricated by immobilizing glucose oxidase and surface-unpassivated CdTe quantum dots (QDs) on a screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE). The surface morphology of the biosensor was characterized with scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. With dissolved O(2) as an endogenous coreactant, QDs/SPCE showed...

BSA activated CdTe quantum dot nanosensor for antimony ion detection.

A novel fluorescent nanosensor for Sb(3+) determination was reported based on thioglycolic acid (TGA)-capped CdTe quantum dot (QD) nanoparticles. It was the first antimony ion sensor using QD nanoparticles in a receptor-fluorophore system. The water-soluable TGA-capped CdTe QDs were prepared through a hydrothermal route, NaHTe was used as the Te precursor for CdTe QDs synthesis. Bovine serum al...

Synthesis of CdTe quantum dots coated with biocompatible materials and investigation of their identification Properties

Fingerprint identification or dactyloscopy is a method for human identification. The impressions left by a human finger on surfaces are not visible to naked eyes (latent fingerprint); therefore, they require revelation to become visible and identified. Within the last century, several fingerprint revelation techniques such as optical, physical, and chemical were studied. These traditional metho...
